Creating Unforgettable Chocolate Experiences

Multi-award-winning luxury Irish artisan hand-painted chocolates, Temptation Chocolates, are lovingly crafted in our chocolate boutique in Abbeyleix, Co. Laois. Handmade in small, thoughtfully curated batches, using ethically sourced, premium ingredients — French chocolate, Valrhona, Irish cream and butter, organic cocoa butter — alongside the finest locally and nationally sourced ingredients we can procure.
Each delicate chocolate creation is meticulously hand-painted with the utmost attention to detail, resulting in a symphony of colour, gloss, and elegance — a true embodiment of edible artistry. With an impressive record of accolades, Temptation Chocolates has claimed prestigious awards such as the Great Taste Awards, Blás na hÉireann and the Irish Quality Food & Drink Awards, and have showcased our exceptional creations on The Late Late Show - Taking Care of Business in November 2021.

 

 

 

MEET THE FOUNDERS. 

 

Self-Taught Chocolatier Twin Sisters

Created by self-taught chocolatier twin sisters Kate & Ruth O'Hara, who, in the midst of the pandemic, left behind careers in accounting and finance in Dublin to turn their hobby into a business in early 2021. 
Originating from Durrow, Co. Laois, Kate & Ruth are accounting and finance graduates who had been working in Dublin for several years before the pandemic hit, ultimately moving home when lockdown first began. They grew up with a love of French chocolateries and pâtisseries from family holidays to France and started dabbling with chocolate in the depths of the pandemic as an escape. They are both self-taught chocolatiers, learning everything they know through different courses and videos online. It was in early 2021 when they decided to take the leap and turn their passion project into a small business from the confines of their home kitchen.

Crafting Artisan Delights with Dedication & Finesse

Temptation Chocolates' hand-painted bonbons are conceived in small, artisanal batches, each one carefully adorned with a delicate touch and meticulous attention to detail. The intricate process takes three days to complete, yielding a collection of uniquely charming bonbons. Premium-quality, ethically sourced Valrhona chocolate takes centre stage in their offerings, complemented by locally and nationally procured ingredients, including cherished Irish cream and butter. This dedication to sourcing aligns with their commitment to crafting the finest quality confections.
